STOCKHOLM-BASED VALHALL SIGNS WITH ARTOFFACT, ANNOUNCES DEBUT ALBUM
Swedish electronic/witchhouse duo VALHALL announces debut album Leaning on Shadows on Artoffact Records.

Debut will be available in limited edition with accompanying cassette, Shadows.

The Swedish duo known as VALHALL has inked a deal with Toronto-based Artoffact Records and will release their debut, Leaning on Shadows, in November.

The project has previously self-released albums and EPs through Soundcloud or Bandcamp, gaining a modest fan-following that lead to several festival invitations. Most notably, VALHALL was invited to play Kuudes Aisti (Finland) in 2013, where they shared the bill with Lydia Lunch, The Haxan Cloak, and Light Asylum, amongst others. The duo have played in their native Sweden, Holland, Finland, and the Czech Republic.

VALHALL composes haunting, epic pieces with broad brush-strokes, influenced by witch house, neofolk, and industrial. Recently, they were tapped to do remixes for the likes of AAIMON, Conclave, and Distorted Memory. They have appeared on many online mixtapes, including for Cultwave Radio and NVR MND.

The debut album Leaning on Shadows will be released through Artoffact Records on November 4th. A limited edition version comes with a bonus cassette called Shadows as well as an ambigram patch.

'V' star JANE BADLER sings on newly released JUNKSISTA single 'Live A little'
The German electro duo JUNKSISTA aka Boog and Diana S. are revealing the first excerpt of their forthcoming studio album "High Voltage Confessions" with the "Live A Little" EP.

The EP is the fruit of a very special collaboration of the band with renowned singer, actress and 80's icon star JANE BADLER (remember the sexually charged villain Diana of the cult classic SF television program 'V'?). The song was already picked up to serve as the main theme in FABIO SOARES' new short film "Bitch Popcorn Blood".

The title track was remixed by the international top producer LAYZEE who in his former life was rapper of the 90's Eurodance superstars Mr.President. The single also features an exclusive non-album song, the minimal electro track "Time".

You can get this single from Bandcamp, iTunes and Spotify.

ARCHITECT RELEASES NEW VIDEO, 2LP ALBUM OUT SOON ON ARTOFFACT
!cid_image001_jpg@01CEB3AE.jpg

German electronic project Architect released a video this week for "Immaterial", one of the new tracks from Mine, the project's sixth full-length. "Immaterial" features the vocal contributions of Emese Arvai-Illes, the Hungarian vocalist from Black Nail Cabaret and is the first single from the album. The video features images of a woman's face in a slow-paced, collage-like sequence.

Watch the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=218UxrBAG7Q

Architect's sixth full length album Mine constitutes an appreciable shift in direction compared to his previous works by adding compositional and instrumental innovations brand new to this project. Supported by well-respected artists such as Ben Lukas Boysen a.k.a. Hecq, guitarist and cellist Felix Gerlach, Dejan Samardzic (dsx), legendary producer, engineer and remixer Paul Kendall (Depeche Mode, Nitzer Ebb, Erasure, Recoil), Canadian musician and sound designer Comaduster and Hungarian vocalist Emese Arvai-Illes (Black Nail Cabaret), Architect marches to no one's beat but his own, expanding ambitious electronica with comprehensive down-tempo song structures. Moderate yet decisive beats and precise keyboard and string arrangements build the foundation for Emese's exceptional voice, transmitting suspense, depth and sinister beauty with perfectly fitting lyrics.

Mine will be released on double-vinyl on Toronto-based Artoffact Records on October 15th in both black and limited white editions.

Architect is a unique hybrid of IDM, electronica and smooth ambient soundscapes inexhaustibly explored by German musician Daniel Myer. Architect was created in 1998 and has since proven his mettle on a multitude of releases and on countless acclaimed concerts worldwide.

In 2010, Alan Wilder (Recoil, Depeche Mode) discovered Architect and this led to Daniel performing as a support act for Recoil on several acclaimed shows in Europe and the United States.

Freakangel launches new album via IndieGoGo to fund their new video
alfamatrix_FREAKANGEL.jpg

To promote their new upcoming album "The Ones To Fall", electro industrial act Freakangel has taken to IndieGoGo to fund a professional video by the young, but talented director Aleksei Kulikov for the title track of the album, "The Ones To Fall".

Says the band: "The ideas are there and we have done some test shots so that we have a very clear idea of what the video will be like, the script is ready, we have found locations etc.. The only thing we need is some extra funding to make this happen: 1500 Euro to be precise." The money will be used to pay for: the film crew, light equipment, film equipment, models, food, make up, stage hands and fuel/transport costs.

Expect the result to be a bit kinky as the band will shoot an entire day with just girls. Says Freakangel's Dmitry: "The video itself is about the human weakness, about destructive emotions and about not being able to stop looking at something that is forbidden. It's about loving someone who you think is perfect for you. But in the end you realize that you are being drugged into something that will destroy you."

Here's the IndieGoGo campaign page, the list of 12 perks (or rewards) includes credits in the video, t-shirts, downloads, CDs and so on.

POUPPEE FABRIKK - bring back the ways of old EP
PF_bring_back_the_days_of_old_-_ep_1.jpg

"Bring Back The Ways Of Old" is more than a slogan shouted by Henrik Bjorkk on this new POUPPEE FABRIKK digital single, it's a provocative statement pushing us back to the source, encouraging us looking back to the roots...

Since 1987, Sweden's POUPPEE FABRIKK has never been about perfection or being nice. They play EKM (Elektronisk Kroppsmusik) - physical music that makes you want to get up and move. No compromise, no polish: 100% primitive electronic with attitude.

"Bring Back The Ways Of Old" got the remix treatment from new generation musicians who continue the tradition of playing EBM with balls… and unfortunately, they are alarmingly few. Stop the culturecide! We look back to go forward with their forthcoming album "The Dirt" scheduled for release in May 2013.

The single is only available from Bandcamp for the moment.

01. Bring Back The Ways Of Old (POUPPEE FABRIKK 12 Inch Version)
02. Bring Back The Ways Of Old (SPETSNAZ Pushed Around Remix)
03. Bring Back The Ways Of Old (AUTODAFEH Remix)
04. Bring Back The Ways Of Old (POLYFUSE Remix)

New download EP for I:SCINTILLA available now !
alfamatrix_iscintillamarrow1cover.jpg

After high profile acoustic performances with LACUNA COIL and at DRAGON*CON 2010/2012, electronic-rock quartet I:SCINTILLA felt the need to experiment with stripped-down unplugged sounds. After a few inspired recording and mixing sessions, the result is the new 5-track acoustic EP "Marrow 1."

In the first of what will be a long line of themed "Marrow" EP's, the band abandons its stylish metal-electronica signature and opts for a raw direct presentation of five new recordings. Included in the set are the new song "Drag Along," two reworked favorites from 2010's "Dying & Falling" ("Ammunition," "The Shake"), and two interesting covers (IAMX, Devo). The songs showcase the exceptional talents of lead singer Brittany Bindrim, her insightful songwriting, and the band's musicianship. As a special treat, her father, Julius Bindrim, contributes his vocal and guitar talents to three tracks.

Tracklist:
1. Drag Along
2. Girl U Want
3. Ammunition
4. Spit It Out
5. The Shake

CYNICAL EXISTENCE releases "Ruined Portrait" digital EP
alfamatrix_CynicalExistenceRuinedPortraitEPfront.jpg

With CYNICAL EXISTENCE, Alfa Matrix proudly presents one of the most promising dark elektro bands of the moment hailing from Sweden. A new harsh EBM project behind which hides none other than Fredrik Croona - founder and lead vocalist of the aggrotech/industrial act PROJECT ROTTEN and former vocalist of dark electro/industrial act MENSCHDEFEKT.

The "Ruined Portrait" digital download EP comes as an appetizer for the much promising full length album "Come Out And Play" which is scheduled for an early 2013 release. CYNICAL EXISTENCE offers a mixture of old school EBM with a harsher industrial tone while infusing more personal emotions into the compositions and stripping away the heavily processed vocals. A powerful EBM sound where melodic synth lines collide with "less is more" music arrangements and haunted by stand-out vocal angst.

The EP features some exclusive collaborations with IMPLANT, REACTOR7, MIND:STATE and FREAKY MIND. CYNICAL EXISTENCE shows here to be a new hard elektro entity we will now have to count with!

TRACK-LISTING
1. Misery
2. Am I alive
3. My shining halo
4. Let's play dead feat. Reactor7x
5. Face Of God (Reinterpreted by FREAKY MIND)
6. Insecure (IMPLANTed fear mix)
7. Paradox (Filtered through MIND:STATE)
